Feel like the biggest loser writing this...

So ive been busting my butt planning my wedding 300+ guests invited, shower is in our hometown where we live, work, go to church, etc.

Is it normal that NO ONE, not even my MOH or bridesmaids, co-workers, church women, etc has mentioned wanting to do a shower for me? I know im still 6 months out, but theres never even been a mention. Is this normal? Im not worried about the "gifts"... I just feel kinda... well... like I may not have a shower? haha

Six months out is rather early to talk about a shower.  It was mentioned to me that there would be one but six months is pretty early.  Both of my showers were in homes so there wasn't a need to go crazy planning until it was time to begin to think of the guest list and invitations.

And you never know, people could be planning a surprise.

I think it's much too early to be feeling bummed about that!

That being said I think it's too early to worry about it. I'm sure someone will step up soon.

We've been engaged for 7 months.... I knew it was a bit early, but you know those low times where you just freak and think the world's falling all around you. haha

I only just learned that my aunt and MOH are planing to throw me a shower, and I'm just abut 3 months out. So no worries.

I'm South African and in our tradition it is ALWAYS a surprise. I ended up with the tradition broken because we're moving house 3 weeks before the wedding (don't ask) and my MOH had to tell me my moving date clashed with the shower. I still have no idea what they're planning to do to me though... it was only after I got engaged that I realised it was a country-specific tradition.

Maybe they are going to surprise you. I'm sure someone will throw you one.
