Engagement Party Baby debacle

Hi all,
My fiance and I are having an engagement party thrown for us by my Mother and Grandmother next month. We are very excited about it but I'm having an issue.... Fiance's cousin has already RSVP'd but will not leave her toddler with ANYONE, and we are having a cocktail party at a wine bar. Not to quote Sweet Home Alabama, but "You have a baby...in a bar!" How should I handle this?

I always think being honest is the best method to handle this stuff.  Just call her and say that the engagement party is adults only, and you hope she will still be able to make it, because you'd love to see her. 

For good measure, and so she doesn't think you are a big ol kid hater, you can add something like "we are excited to see the toddler at the wedding".  or "i'd love to schedule a lunch or dinner with you and toddler".
