Shower Hostess Gift

I am curious when I am suppose to give the hostess(es) of my shower their thank you gifts.  Do I do this at the shower? That seems awkward unless I wait until everyone leaves.  Or do I do it a week or two after the shower when the rest of the thank you cards go out?  I know I need to give them thank you gifts and I even have them bought but am lost about when I give them to them.  TIA!

I gave the hostess a card, and a gift card.  I did give it to her the day of the shower, but I sort of had an opportunity towards the end when everyone else was visiting.

I would do it probably when you are thanking everyone for coming and giving gifts. You can quickly publicly thank you hostesses and say you have something for them.
