Rehearsal Dinner Location

Quick question...

After our rehearsal we would love to host the dinner at our favourite restaurant but it is a 30 min drive from the rehearsal location. I feel that this is too far but my MOH is telling me it's fine.

I have plenty of time to choose another location, I am wondering if people feel a 30min drive is too far after the rehearsal.

I personally think it's a little far, and I might roll my eyes, but I'd live with it.

Is that 30 minutes with or without traffic, and if without, is it in an area prone to traffic?

30 min with traffic but it's not usually busy at the time we'd be there.

I really don't want to put people out. I don't mind driving but I am afraid it's a lot to ask.

If it's your favorite I'd go for it... as long as it's not super late & your wedding is really early the next morning. Then it may be inconvenient. But if it's at a normal dinner time, I don't think 30 minutes is that far. We drive further than that for dinner all the time.
