unique bridal shower

My sister keeps asking me what I want to do for my bridal shower, but I'm still undecided so I need your help. I'm not a fan of shower games so I want to do something different. I want people to have fun and want to be there. Does anyone have any unique bridal shower ideas?

Generally, this isn't up to you.  Let her plan it and rack her brain over this.  You have enough to do with planning a wedding.  All you have to do is show up, mingle, eat cake, and open gifts.  You can tell her that you don't want games, but let her figure out other options.

P.S.  I love that Zac Brown Band song in your ticker.

You could have people do an advice game. Its not really a game but have everyone write down a piece of advice for you and your soon to be hubby. Then just say them outloud and you pick your favorite one. I am not a big fan of games either but I liked that one.

I went to a shower where they served lunch and cake and then the bride opened gifts.  No games.  It was actually enjoyable.  I was able to mingle with friends/family while we were eating lunch.

For my sister, I'm planning on having a recipe shower, possibly a potluck where guests can bring a dish along with the recipe in a predetermined format so all the recipes can be made into a book for the couple. Then people can bring food/cooking related gifts if they'd like, since the couple are just learning to cook. I may even plan a coed party...

Other ideas I like are "date showers" where guests plan dates for the couple and give restaurant gift cards, scavenger hunt materials, etc. for gifts, or honeymoon showers with travel-related gifts and games.
