Rehearsal dinner ideas?

I am interested in having favors, maybe our engagement pictures framed and can double up as decor ..what are some other ideas everyone else is doing?

And I just started thinking maybe hiring my wedding photographer for the rehearsal dinner as well . . ? Any suggestions

My daughter's FMIL bought photo coasters.  They doubled as seat cards.  It took a little work, but what she tried to do was have pictures of either the groom and each friend/relative, or of the bride and each friend/relative.  It was very well received. And, even if each guest received only one coaster, it contained a picture of themselves with the bride or groom.

Personally, the photos friends and family took during the rehearsal and dinner were very nice.  We recruited a few dates of the wedding party to fill the role and they were happy to oblige as they basically had nothing else to do while their dates were busy "rehearsing".

I talked with my photographer about being there for the rehearsal & dinner and after discussing it with FI we ultimately decided we wanted that evening to be just us, friends and family.  I agree with PP recruit some of the WP dates and have them play photographer.
