I am the MOH in my good friends wedding which is in July and her bridal shower was planned for next weekend (7 days). Everyone has been informed and invited, including an invite in the town newspaper. Today, the bride found out she has just been accepted to graduate school and because she was on the wait list, she has to travel across country in 3 days making her unavailable to attend the bridal shower! Many people have told me that it isn't acceptable to still have the bridal shower without her there but invitations have been sent and because we are now unable to have the bachelorette party as well, I'd hate for her to miss out on a shower and a party! Should we still have the shower even though she won't be there?
