    I think you need stop worrying about if you're going to have a shower.

    Next time your MOH brings up the shower, just tell her simply "My mom isn't planning a shower for me."  Leave it at that.  Don't tell her that she, your MOH, is supposed to throw a party!  Maybe she can't pay for one, maybe she doesn't want to... whatever.  It's none of your business.

    If your MOH (or anyone else) decides to throw a shower - BONUS!!  If no one steps, up, you just won't have a shower.  It's totally fine.
