I got a quote from them. Have been waiting on a response since Monday to set up a tour of the venue. Slowly letting them slip to the bottom of my stack of preferred venues...

FI and I went and toured the venue and the lady who showed us around asked us some specific questions and then said she would email us a written quote...we never got the quote or heard from her again so we moved on to a different venue.

I called about setting up an appointment a week before to schedule my appointment. I scheduled my appointment at 3 since she stated they had a tasting at 2. The day rolls around and I drive to Oak Cliff and get there about an hour and half earlier to eat lunch. I'm eating lunch  and about 2:00 I get a call saying she has to cancel because something has come up. I stated that I was right in the area if the 3:00 time was an issue and could come now. She stated she was not even in the area at that time. If she is suppose to be there at 2:00 for a tasting then, she either canceled them at the last minute with the chance of them being there already or she waited an hour before my appointment time to cancel me. She said I could schedule when ever, I stated the next time I was avaliable was few days away around 7 in the evening. She didn't seem to pleased with my choice.

I show up, and get to the floor and no one is in there. All the lights are turned off and it is dark. I  say Hello and she is yells ,"I'm in my office". To me, wouldn't you be visible so I wouldn't have to hunt you down, since you are giving me the tour?  She looks pissed off and we look around fast from one room to the next just a simple explaination of each room. I asked her what the rental fee was for a Sunday and she stated $500. I asked for a packet and  she said she hadn't made anymore, that she was out of them and that she needed to go to kinko's. Then she is silent. 5-10 minutes after getting there we were on the elevator.

I didn't expect her to e-mail me at all after reading your replies. Friday morning she e-mailed me the information. I looked at the packet and it stated Sunday rentals were $1,500 and the information in the packet was from 2009. I don't know if this was an error on her part or it is really $500 now. I just felt she was totally disorganized and unprofessional. It sucks, because I LOVED the venue! :( I'm going to e-mail her some questions and see where it goes from there. Maybe she was having a bad week or day, but I keep thinking if I do go with them...Will it be this disorganized then too?

YIKES! So sorry to hear about that. She was so sweet working with me initially, but now I'm having a hard time setting up a site visit with her (I think she may not like that I need a Saturday site visit since I'm an event planner myself and can't get away too often...) I feel like a burden at this point and I'm willing to look at the venues that come out to a few thousand more if it means I'll get the attentiveness I expect from my salesperson.

I will say this, though: when I got my quote (which she sent a day after I requested it), she was the most flexible out of all the venues as far as my menu goes (I asked if we could sub a mac n cheese station instead of pasta, and she got that adjusted for me - everyone else has told me that "packages are set, no changes.")

So sorry to hear about that :(

Yea I can relate to everything that happen to everyone!! I had an appt at 2:00pm as well and when I pulled up to the venue I called her to ask her what floor I should go to and she to was like "O crap I completely forgot about the viewing" I was like really thats the most professional answer you have? So at least you got a call back haha. Also when I got a quote (bc I was still thinking about it bc i loved it!!!) It took her like 3-4 days to get them to me! At that point I decided to mark it off my list becasue if you cant be there for a 15min tour I dont trust you with one of the biggest days of my life.

But anywho If any wants picutre or walk threw videos I took both when i went and you can just email me at wedding.belle11@yahoo.com

I guess it is really hit or miss. I was thinking about it a little bit today and I forgot to mention that when we were discussing dates she stated they they were getting booked and they I needed to decide. It just came off like she was doing me a favor by showing me the place and allowing me to consider them. It is weird to describe, but it wasn't a good vibe.

That is sweet of you, but I actualy did take pictures during when I went.
