Wedding Video Transfer to DVD?

I got married in June and had Adam Kegg shoot my wedding. We paid $400 for the raw video, though when it arrived it was on the actual tapes, not DVDs as I had assumed (my fault for not reading the contract or asking him to clarify).

Anyway, he said he would transfer for $80, but I haven't heard from him in months and I imagine it would take a long time (he isn't the quickest vendor, though he is an awesome guy)

Our other option is to buy a video camera and transfer it ourselves.

Anybody know of anybody who can transfer the footage to DVD for us? My mother is on my tail to make sure that the video is good before our 1st anniversary :)
