I've been MIA alot lately, as in I haven't been on TheKnot for a few months. This board rocks, so I figured I could come here to vent a bit.
I've been MIA because we've been house hunting. I despise house hunting. Why? Because it sucks. You find a house you love, and the seller is psychotic and refuses to sell the house no matter how good your offer is: (think of Noah from The Notebook when the buyer offers more than the list price for the house and Noah comes out with a gun) Then you find another house you love, better than the psychotic first one, and someone butts in line in front of you and steals said house right from under your nose. All the while FI is being a major PITA because I know more about real estate than he does, but he has to be right about things, so there are awesome disagreements.
Again, house hunting sucks. We've looked at 20 houses, and put contracts that didn't stick on two of them. Sucks. Sucks. Sucks. Rawr.
Oh, and if I hear "when the house is right, it'll happen" one more time, I'm going to punch someone in the nose. Or the crazy girl at work who says all snootily "Well, it took me 6 months to find a house" Well, Miss Snoot, you aren't also planning a wedding, because you've been with your man for 6 years and still don't know if he's "The One"
Stupid. Rawr again. *sigh*
Wedding related, things rock. We had our tasting at the reception venue, and had a wedding reception for friends at our venue as well, and most of their food was opposite of what we had at the tasting. So Double Tastings! Score!
The only thing we're really missing at this point is the limo. So while I should be less stressed out I'm crabby.
Sorry for the vent. I'm tired of venting to FI or my rents and having it go in one ear and out the other. If it goes in one of your eyes and out the other, I at least can't see it.
