SA Wednesday

Boudoir pics went GREAT! It was so much fun but SO exhausting. I was done around 2, went and stuffed my face at Chipotle, but then I couldn't go home since FI was there and he thought I was at work..... so I went to my mom's in Plano and crashed on the couch for 2 solid hours.
Now I have to put on my normal clothes and go to work like a chump...

Re: SA Wednesday

  • I'm so glad it went well, Carrie!  I was thinking about you yesterday and hoped you were having fun with it.

I woke up this morning and thought of something I needed to do immediately.  Of course, I had to do something stupid like pee first, and now I've spent the last 30 minutes laying here trying to figure out what the heck it was I needed to do so urgently.  Ugh.  Not a good sign on how this day is about to go.

  • Glad the boudior pics went great. I think I'm going to do mine sometime this winter.
I'm really irritated with my internet. It goes out every day between 3-7 pm. We had this same problem last summer and Time Warner can't seem to get it fixed. Here we are again this summer and the same stinking problems. This morning it's been in and out. Making it hard to do anything.
I'm also really anxious to get this sticky situation at work handled but it doesn't look like it will be any sooner than Monday and of coarse I have to keep it hush at work. Problem is my key holder starts vacation next week and I really want to ask him if he has no major plans if he can post pone it. Oh well looks like I will be putting in major hours next week.

  • I just want to sleep.
The apartment office isn't calling me back.

  • Yay Carrie! Angelsong, that kinda stuff drives me in sane, and happens to me more often than I care to admit. I could shoot myself for committing to this business trip this week, a day after getting back from vacation. I just want to be at home, but am in Orlando of all places instead. Least. Favorite. City. Here's to hoping I can at least ditch any dinners and sit in my quiet room!!

</div><div>Okay, I can't remember who was talking about Time Warner, but here's what happened to us with Charter.  We were having the same problems when I first moved in.  Bill replaced the wi-fi box, everything he could think of.  Finally, we called Charter and the guy was new but didn't really have any ideas.  Finally, he went and looked at our box outside and discovered that the box had never been updated for one of the major upgrades, so we got a new outside box and it's been great ever since--three years.  You never know!

</div><div>When we go, we pretty much go straight to WDW and don't go out into the city at all. The worst part of the trip, to us, is dealing with the security lines when we leave.  That airport is crazy ridiculous.

  • My moving announcements are supposed to arrive today!

I am REALLY glad the Thunder won Game 1, but I feel like some of the trash talk is a little too much, too soon.  Like someone posted a meme about Lebron choking.  We had to fight our way to that win... I wouldn't say they choked..

  • Professor, I need one of your announcements!  I have something to mail you when I finally get it finished. Maybe I should have phrased that better - it sounds like I was piecing together a ransom note to send you.  Hmm...

I just had the best flavored coffee of all time, and it was from Cafe Brazil of all places.  I am not a fan of their food but dang, their Southern Pecan Something-or-Other coffee is awesomesauce.

I need to get some really good, simple, healthy dinner ideas.  We're falling apartment on our dinners because we just don't have time to make anything elaborate, and therefore we usually end up eating unhealthy, crappy stuff like bake at home pizza.  Any suggestions?  I think we are going to go into La Michocana (sp) meat market tonight and see if they have any fajita-type meat made up.

  • Oh yeah, I forgot you asked for our address.  I ordered some extras, so if you'll send me your address I can mail you one.  Or I can just send you our address.  ;)

angelsong - what kind of foods do you guys like? I'm big on spinach salads right now. If you have a crockpot you could check out http://www.365daysofcrockpot.com/

I made oreo balls for a fundraiser we are doing at work and I've already eaten 2. I still have 4 hours left of work. This is not looking good for my waistline.

It was me having issues with Time Warner. Last summer they were out a rewired everything. They had probably 3 different service guys out 3 different times. don't know if anything was done with the box outside. Something I'll ask my FI he knows what all they did. Stinks cause he's in Taiwan for the next 10 days.

  • Amy - 2 things:
1 - I LOVE Cafe Brazil coffee bar! FI and I will go there for breakfast and drink 3 small cups of different flavors and then take a giant one to go of our favorite and we will sip on them all day long.
2 - I've made this a few times and FI goes CRAZY over it. It's a little high in sodium, but VERY healthy, especially since we skip the sour cream and use very little cheese. And it's still delicious! http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/02/original-taco-soup-crockpot-recipe.html

I don't blame you. It's overrun with unruly children and their unattentive parents.

Julie, you are a GENIUS for your cake idea

I hate cheap clients who keep trying to wheel and deal, and don't understand what "this is the bottom line price, if you want to guarantee your room I need your deposit by noon tomorrow" means. Adding on more food doesn't bring the cost down, you nutjob lady.

  • Hey, since most of you live outside of my Grapevine/Southlake bubble, I need your suggestions! My step-son and I are taking DH to dinner Saturday night for Father's Day, and I don't want to take him to our usual spots. I'd love to try something different, that has a fun atmosphere, that an almost 7 year old would enjoy too. That said, food-wise, he'll eat anything, so open to any and all suggestions! I had a whole slew of Groupons that were pet related. It worries me thinking of discounted adoption fees though, cause I would hate to think of someone taking advantage of that just to have a pet who may not be able to afford anything else to care for them...
