NWR: Hair help

I am in the process of growing out my PWC (Ben hated it).  Normally I go to Toni & Guy for my color and take my daughter there too for a cut, as she has a pretty structured bob.  I however, just want my dead ends cut off and don't want to pay someone $70 to take off an inch of hair.  What does everyone else do?  Any suggestions?  I really need a trim before I get my color done again.

There's a Master Cuts in the Stonebriar Mall that I go to in between colors to get a little taken off. I think that it cost me $16ish.  I think that they do a pretty awesome job!

No, I want someone near me (Uptown or Garland) that's not so expensive.  It just seems ridiculous to pay that much.  Maybe I'll try the Toni & Guy school in Carrollton--I just thought about that actually.  Ogle has one somewhere too I think...

I think the ogle school is off of mockingbird. My girl is in Lewisville & she charges $25-$30 for a cut. Let me know if you want her number

Stephie I've used the Paul Mitchell School in Carrollton between. It costs $15 for a 2nd year student and $10 for a first year. I had a good experience!

How much does Toni & Guy school charge, Sparkling? I'm in need of a trim also, and may try them out.

I want to say its between $15-$25 depending on the length of your hair.  I can't remember the exact amount at the moment.

Yeah the regular T &G will cut your bangs for free too--although of course you're expected to tip them.

I just went to the Aveda Inst. School across from Northpark today. I went to Allison B. I believe cuts are $15. I got my hair color and cut for $50. (Color $35 and cut $15). I love the cut!

Ohhh, these are so helpful thanks!  I walked out of T&G with Melodie yesterday to the tune of $102--at least that included shampoo.  *sigh*

I know I'm late to the party but...

FI goes to a little salon on Cedar Springs, between Oak Lawn and Turtle Creek. It's called "Select Salon", and it's in an old house. It's got this wild looking chinese flower garden next door to it. Her stylist charges $30 for her short hair, so I can't imagine they charge too much for a trim.

Arthur Rangel is her actual stylist.

I called Toni & Guy but their hours are terrible... no appointments later than 2pm. Just FYI. I went back to Paul Mitchell and got a nice hairwash and trim for $10, and it looks good. They're definitely my go-to when I just need a refresh and not a full color/style.

I don't think I told you guys my hair cut experience and I probably won't now because I don't want to get flamed for dwelling ;) lol but uhhhhhhhhhh DON'T GO TO ULTA IN THE ALLIANCE SHOPPING CENTER. :) I just cut off 11 inches of hair and looked like a twelve year old from 1993. I need to get it fixed by my regular lady that I will never, ever cheat on again-- regardless of the fact I have to drive far to see her.
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.
