SA Wednesday

Where is everyone today? It's so quiet around here.

So I decided to try a different deoderant just to change things up. Well this stuff is killing me. The smell is so strong it's giving me a headache. For furture reference, if you don't like strong smells don't buy Degree!

Bdette - yuck! I hate that!  Secret always does that to me.

Everyone in my office went to the Rough Riders game today for a "celebration day", so I'm all alone here in the office.  Every little noise is freakin me out.  I think that I've stood up and looked around about 15 times already.

Side note - I get a free PTO day out of this!  :)

It is quiet around here lately.

I don't have much.  Just went to C&B over lunch to pick up a bday gift for my FI from my parents (sidenote: I can't believe there's not a C&B in The Woodlands) so I had to print out our registery so the items would get marked off.  I forgot to wear my ring today so when I told them it was my registery I got a weird look.
You know, like the girl who buys her dress before even dating a guy.

There are 2 admins at my office that piss me off because they never offer to help with anything.  I know it looks bad on them, but it'd be nice if they'd pull their own weight and stop acting like it's putting them out.

balfour, why would they judge you like that? How rude!

Brianna, I would be freaking out too. I don't do well being somewhere by myself either!

It's kinda quiet around here...my email is quiet...the accounting director across the hall is still loud...think she's hard of hearing.
My day is alright...FI was a bit testosteroney last night and this morning with attitude.  Kiddos are good...had child support hearing this morning...all in all...it's ok.  I have a stack of invoices to process...and some expense reports to get done. But, I'm here.  LoL...and steadily giving the "how to treat me" reminder Lesson 201 to FI via text messaging...or the "I feel ____ when _____" lesson.
    Happy Wednesday, ladies!!!

Step dad was doing great for about a week but now his tumor is growing again and he's running a fever again.  Dr is on vacation and the on-call dr is no help. At least the dr called in an antibotic for him even though he is on vacation.  I need one week of good news!  So stressed with planning and wedding and watching my step dad suffer.  They also put him on short term disability so now my mom is having to work extra and no one is at home to help my step dad.

On a good note it's wednesday and I am having dinner with one of my BMs!  YEAH for girl time finally!!!

When I went to my car Monday night, there were people having sex in the car next to mine.  At 7:30 p.m.  In a parking garage.  I was so shocked I just stood there with my mouth open holding my gym bag until I finally came to my senses.

I booked a room at Hotel Palomar for mine and FI's five year dating anniversary on June 30. We got a great deal - $109, which is 50% off! I'm excited!

stephiehall - Oh wow.  I think I would have been shocked, too.  Why would people think that is okay.  Sheesh.

So, I really want to have a shower in Lubbock, mainly because my mom lives close to there and she can't afford to come to Dallas for a shower and for the wedding.  So, my MOH lives in Lubbock and said she would host a shower there for me.  She's a teacher, so she wanted to do it in late July.  Well, I had sent her several texts/emails/fb messages and either got no response or an "I'm really busy" response. So I thought - crap, I'm not going to have a shower or I'll have to throw one my self (save your flames, I realize it's tacky).  ;)  Well, she finally called me and actually has most of it planned out. Never underestimate the power of an organized MOH.  I had to share - made my day.  :)

Stephie, that's too hilarious!! If I had the guts, I would have knocked on the window and made some snide remark. It's hilarious, but so grody! Let's hope their windows were tinted.

I don't usually post much, but I just feel like chiming in today.

I went dress shopping this weekend, since I was in my home state. I've only been dress shopping once - for less than an hour the day after Christmas - because I thought that would be my only chance to shop with just my mom and I wanted her to see me in a big white dress before my wedding day.

Anyway, I tried on a few on Saturday, and I realized one of those dresses I'd tried on just after Christmas had really been the right one.

From just a photo of me in the dress from six months ago, I managed to find the style number and discover that it's still in stock by the designer. Whew. I am feeling very lucky!

My Words With Friends has been screwed up for most of the day and it's driving me nuts!  I've even uninstalled it and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it and it's still messed up!  ARGGH!!!

I'm so over my house being a mess and not having furnished and decorated rooms. I wish my H would make an effort to be neat. When I get onto him about it he says the mess is 50/50 him/me. No way -- it's 80/20 or maybe even 90/10. Sigh.

I envy teachers that have summer vacation. I would love that.

Posted by cherrrylll[/QUOTE]My dad likes to throw it in my face every time he can that I could "be off work right now".  Dude, I know.  And I wish I was.  I can't wait to get paid more than I'm getting paid now AND be able to have 2 weeks of Christmas break, a week for spring break, and a full summer off.  ::sigh:: This corporate world is just not for me.

Yeah, I did look around to see if I could find security but no one was around.  It was just such a shock!

Anna, yay!  Ben and I have done that the past couple of years at the Omni and it's fun.  ETA:  Our dating anniversary is 6/30 too--4 years this year!

Mmmm, it is snack time here and I am about to go eat every vegetable on the veggie tray.

I'd like to look into teaching. I'm not sure what is required. I'd love to be an art teacher or even teach a computer-related arts class.

I keep getting the theme song to Out of this World stuck in my head. Anyone remember that show? "Would you like to swing on a star? Woahhh. Carry moonbeams home in a jar...' She'd talk to her alien dad through that cube thing...anyone?

Also, Milli Vanilli's "Blame it on the Rain". Totally random.

I'm really debating on whether I want to go on a bike ride with FI after work, and to my pilates class, or whether I just want to be lazy and watch The Bachelorette from Monday night that I recorded. Hm, decisions decisions.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the congrats and compliments from your girls on the wedding. I never got the chance to get back on here till now.

I am on a job hunt because I have been cut to part time at work (long story... I can not work the hours they won't me to work for my position). It sucks! I see what you girls are job hunting mean though, it is really hard.

Are you looking more toward Dallas or toward Fort Worth? It took me 7 months to find my job in FW, and then I got two job offers at the same time. Strange how it works.

Let me know if you want a recommendation for a temp agency. I applied to something like 10 different agencies toward the end of my search ... only one ever got back to me. They also got me a full-time, direct-hire job within three weeks. Wish I'd found them sooner.

I'd recommend a temp agency too - I temp'ed for 6 months before finding my first "real" job out of college.  I was at the same position for the entire 6 months.

If you're needing to furnish your home, let me know.  My FI runs a furniture store, I'm telling you---I love our furniture and it is soooo affordable.  He can make awesome deals...I've already told him that I have mentioned his place on the board...and that if a knottie comes in, he is to treat her like he would family...meaning, bottomline pricing.

Let me know if I can help you out at all...feel free to contact me...I have honest opinions about everything in that store!!!
