NWR: Movies

What's your favorite...

Love story?

Made in the 80s?

Comedy?

Classic?

All the Black Swan and True Grit talk yesterday got me hooked on IMDB.com so I was just curious.

Laura - Love Actually is the only "girly" movie Chris will watch with me.  And he likes to watch it every Christmas, funny how's he's turned it into a tradition.

I still haven't seen Roman Holiday.  Adding it to my netflix now.

Love story?  The Notebook  (barf, I know...but I cry like a baby every time)

Made in the 80s?  Uh... Pretty Woman?  Was that the 80's?

Comedy?  I don't like the current trend of tasteless comedy.   I think Hitch is a great romantic comedy... one of my all time faves.

Classic?  I've got nothing here... except maybe It's a Wonderful Life at Christmas

    Me. Too.
It's actually kind of disturbing how intense I get.  I can't help it.

Paige - me too.  I cried more the 2nd time I saw it than the first...because I knew what was going to happen and it made it even sappier.

Made in the 80s? Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Nathan loves Love Actually and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He will watch them anytime they are on TV. He even regularly quote My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He hates all other chick flicks. It's funny what guys like. :)

Drop Dead Fred!!  I looooved that movie.

Looks like I'm in the minority about Love Actually.  I always feel like such a weirdo because everyone always seems to love that movie.  Since I can't remember much about it, maybe I'll give it another shot.

    love it!!
This thread is making me want to go home and watch movies until next week!

ETA--I make random DDF references allll the time. I'm a nerd, and I'm okay with that. When FI and I see a woman with hideous frizzed out, non-maintained hair (usually at Wal-Mart, and she is usually wearing stone-washed jeans) we look at eachother and say....'Cobwebs!'
    yeah.
