Complete and utter freak out. Help me!

Last weekend I went to the beach as a cheap alternative to get a tan. Well this was my first tan of the year and I got a little burnt in some spots.

All week I have been doing Aloe and Lotions.

Unfortunatley yesterday was the beinging to my freak out. It was so muggy and we did rehearsal and dinner and I got sweaty- so much that my tan got those peeling blisters. I had FI put lotion on my back last night and his rough hands just ripped and peeled.

So now I have a massively peeling back and during my sleep a spot on my chest area peeled and I have a huge splotch there.

What can I do? I don't have the nice tan I was aiming for and I will be attempting to peel off anything tonight.

I'm so ticked, I should of stuck to my plan and stayed Snow White white.

  • lightly exfoliate and cover your body in petroleum jelly. moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. don't pick at your skin - just exfoliate lightly. good luck....yikes!
  • I agree completely with butterfly... definitely moisturize and don't pick!! Are you getting your make up done? Your make-up artist may be able to put some cover up or something to even out your skin. Are you wearing your hair partially down? It may cover some of your back that way. GL!!!

  • I am wearing my hair up and doing my own make up. Artists wanted 200 to do makeup. Too expensive.
  • Maybe a custom airbrush tan would help even things out  so you don't see the peeling as much.  Not sure if you have time for that though - needs to sit on your skin for like 6 hours - then you can shower and it looks great.
  • I'm not sure about the airbrush tan with peeling this close to wedding day. Then some skin would peel off and be stark white next to the tan. I recommend just exfoliate and moisturize and know most people will not notice.
