Reception Venue(The Room on Main)

Hi fellow knotties!
I am just beginning my research into reception venues for my wedding in June 2013. Does anyone know much about the Room on Main in Dallas? It looks like a decent sized room from pictures(I am wanting to have about 150 guests). Any info on this venue would be awesome!
Thank you!!

It looks sooo beautiful on the internet.  I don't know anything about it though other than that.    Someone mentioned it a while back, but this person is not a frequent poster so I just went and copied what she said (hopefully she will chime in):

I just booked The Room on Main and absolutely fell in love!  It holds up to 300 guests, can have ceremony and reception, has an amazing bridal suite and grooms room, there are floor to ceiling windows along 3 walls and you can take pictures on the roof with downtown Dallas in the background.  Also, Lance has been wonderful to work with.  My fiance and I were only in town for about a week (we just moved to CA and were visiting for the holidays) and I called him last minute to see if we could view the venue.  Not only did Lance meet us after hours one night to show us around, he was also able to squeeze us in for a tasting (you're required to use their caterer, CN Catering, which is amazing!) before we had to fly back out.  I would definitely recommend looking into it!  I also looked at both Hickory Street Annex and Off the Grid and The Room on Main was by far my favorite!

Back when I was planning, there was a cool place called the Empire Room (that has since closed) and it was one of my choices--the Room on Main reminds me of it.
  • The Room on Main is amazing and as the person said, Lance is GREAT! He is so wonderful to work with and has such a variety of items for a menu. Everything I have tried from Lance is fantastic. The only thing I would say is that the bridal suite can be a bit on the small side, but if you are only putting on your dress here, that shouldn't be a huge issue.
You will be completely fine for 150 people- the venue is actually quite large. The chandeliers, large windows, and hardwoods are all beautiful.
