Re: SA Wednesday

  • Dude, I am so insanely emotional over last night.  Every time I see highlights I start crying again.  I'm so proud of those girls.

  • I know. I think Aly is my favorite. Jordyn always looks so stressed out, even when she's smiling. I still like her, but her stress just scares me.
  • McKayla's vault made my heart stop.  And then the score brought me back to Stick It.  Stupid judges.

  • Yea, the judges were wrong on that vault.

</div><div>That.was.insane.  I have no idea how they justified giving her that score.  I'm also glad that I am not the only one who cried last night when they won.  I am scared of what my life will be like if I'm ever pregnant...</div><div>

  • Also, I was really craving Chick-fil-a today, and then I remembered that today is the day people are going to show support for their stance on gay marriage.  I guess I will not be getting my waffle fries on today.

  • High of 109 tomorrow. NBD guys.
  • I am so glad that I boycotted the interwebs yesterday until after I saw the primetime Olympics telecast. As soon as we watched the last event I went on FB and it was chock full of 'OMG! USA! GOLD in Gymnsatics!' and the like. I would have been totally pissed if I had accidentally happened upon the results before I watched. I even had to change my homepage to google so I wouldn't have to worry about spoilers! Lets just say I've spent a good deal of time on TK the past few days. The troll on E talking about her cousin marrying a dog helped waste a lot of time last night in the interim.

Spoilers are driving me crazy. I started a thread on CC yesterday about it. It's one thing to tape American Idol and wait 2 days to watch it spoilers. There's another when things are happening halfway around the world that we have no access to watch live, and thus have to watch it aired for the FIRST time live during prime time.
I knew the results of the two biggest events last night due to facebook spoilers (like, at noon) and I defriended both people. It's so selfish. H says I'm overly sensitive, but we don't have cable so I have been driving to my mother's every night (H is OOT) to watch on her tv and it's like a BIG deal for me to watch tv.

  • I was so lucky to be in a car all day yesterday, so the interwebz were easy to avoid. I made sure to watch it last night. I definitely started to tear up when Aly finished her last pass on floor. I can't wait to watch the AA tomorrow.

On a WR note, we kind of settled our photography. Neither of us wants to pay a bunch for it (nothing against those who did at all, it's just not a priority in our budget), so we decided to use one of those apps that people can download onto their phone so that any pictures they take can go straight there, and we're also going to hand out a bunch of disposables. I'm really excited, I think it's going to be a lot of fun. I've also seen games like "ispy" that tells people to try and catch certain moments that we may try. Has anyone done anything like this (side note: we will probably go ahead and just higher a photography-skilled friend to get some offical shots and ceremony shots, and I'll still probably do bridals).
  • I got pretty annoyed with FB yesrterday with spoilers as well. I didn't want to know until I actually watched. It was amazing though.

Hah, today I had a friend who was coming over said, "I'm going to stop for a drink at Chick-Fil-a-want anything?" My response was "no, no thank you, and don't you think you'll hit massive crowds?"
  • The Chick Fil A controversy is all over facebook and I'm getting tired-head.

</div><div>Same here.  I have so many photos of people taken at Chick-fil-a on my feed.  Andplusalso, the news is shooting live segments from the Chick-fil-a down the street from us.   I just wanted some nuggets without a 30 minute wait.  Maybe tomorrow!
