Travel Agent?

Hey ladies, I was hoping y'all could give me some advice.

So, FI and I have our hearts set on a Hawaii honeymoon. The only problem I'm having is that we want to spend time on 2 islands- mainly Kauai and a few days on Oahu (because if we were that close to Pearl Harbor and didn't go, I'm reasonably sure FI would explode). This has been an issue because most packages are meant for a specific SINGLE destination, and so I'm having trouble packaging our hotel with airfare to get a discount. I was wondering if anyone had used any local or reputable on-line travel agents. Or just thoughts/advice on travel agents in general. How much do they normally run? I know most get a commission from the places that they book for recommending them, but I'm sure there's an additional cost?? The only other time I've done this was through Carnival, and it was one of their own travel agents, so there was no fee!

Anyway, sorry for being long-winded, but if anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Good to know you actually talk to someone. I've been to a couple of other websites, but they haven't been updated since '08, so I'm not sure how active they still are

I also used Beach Bum, but I used Carey.  She was great and they don't charge you anything!

I actually just googled travel agents and I was able to find a guy who got into the business originally by planning mission trips!  I think that is who we are going to use, so I will try to find his info.
