Camp Gladiator -- anyone done this?

Has anyone done CG before?  I'm seriously considering signing up for the 4 week session that starts this coming Monday.

  • YESSSS!!!! It's AMAZING! I know aeliza does it too. I run a LOT (but nothing else) and after my first session I couldn't walk for two days. It was so painful.
I personally know so many girls in my camp that have dropped 30-40 pounds (gradually) doing CG workouts 2-3 times a week.
I can't say enough good things about it.

</div><div>That's awesome!  I haven't worked out in a LONG time and I'm really, really out of shape.  Are there other people like this at the camps or is this all just super fit people working out?  I don't want to be weezing around people who look like they should also be personal trainers LOL.  </div><div>
</div><div>Did you buy the CG outdoor mat?  Trying to decide if that's worth $40...

  • No, they have ALL finess levels. Every 4 weeks they have bring a friend week and I bring my 50 year old mother. She's in great shape for a 50 year old, but not quite as much as me.
What they do is have everyone do, for example, 10 pushups, 10 crunches, and then do a short lap and they divide everyone into groups based on when you come in, so you are teamed up with people that are your fitness level.
And I never bought the outdoor mat, I just used my yoga mat, and TBH, it's not the best. When my yoga mat gets torn to shreds (it's close) I will probably buy an outdoor mat, but not the CG mat, just because of the price. Maybe something like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B0006U67EC/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_0?ie=UTF8&index=0

Something thicker than my flimsy yoga mat.
  • I love CG too! I just started it during their last session and I hadn't worked out in a very long time previously. I went to smaller camps (like the ones in Preston Hollow) and there were people there that have been doing this for over a year. They even said "for your first camp, you are doing great!" so while it was discouraging that they were in better shape than myself, it was good to know that they had been there and understood. I also went to other camps and there were more people at my fitness level.

If you are interested, I still have the 69$ groupon that I bought for FI. I could part from it for around 50$ if you want to try CG. All it is is a code that you put in to use the groupon. FI won't be able to workout due to breaking his leg until at least another few months and the groupon expires in June.

    Definitely recommended though!
