I have run the half marathon at Big D twice in years past and it's a good race, usually the weather cooperates pretty well! Give yourself plenty of time to get down there. Not to scare you, but one year there was a traffic jam near downtown, and runners were parking on the shoulder on the highway and running towards the start line as not be late but they ended up delaying the race.

I have also run 2 full marathons in the past , and there is no feeling like coming across the finish line and no matter how tired you are, I promise you will be sprinting that last .2 miles and feeling awesome because there is no other feeling like finishing a marathon.
