OL Tuesday

Dear FI,
I know planning the ceremony with the officiant isn't your idea of a fun Tuesday night but I wil buy you ICE CREAM afterwards!
-Trying to make some big checks

Re: OL Tuesday

• Dear FI,
Could you please stay in town long enough so I can at least pin point a date for our e-pics. I can't do this one alone. I'm anxious and don't want to wait until fall to do them.

• Dear Tuesday, Can you at least be a little better than Monday? Thanks ready for Friday.

• Dear FI,

Yes, getting together with both of our families to see if there is anything specific they would like to pay for IS important to do sooner rather than later. And it is also important to get the remaining addresses so we can finalize our guest list (which is also important)! I promise it will create less stress for me in the fall!

-Frustrated and annoyed

Whichever one of you is causing pain right now can just stop. I hate the culprit.

Dear Helicopter Mom,
All you have to do is tell me that your child is allergic to nuts. You know this, you don't have to act like I'm trying to kill your son. Also, your son needs to carry an epi pen with him at all times if it's this bad and you also probably should not have M&M's with nuts in them on your desk if your son is that allergic.

Dear Knotties,

I know we had this discussion a while back, but who do you bank with? H and I decided that we are going to leave Wells Fargo when the GI Bill $ came in, and well, it's now time. The final straw with these clowns was them charging me overdraft fees last week when my student loans drafted the same day as my deposit going in. I have never seen a bank account withdrawing fund prior to account for those that were direct deposited on the same date.

We bank with Regions. It's still not huge in north TX, and there are none in OK, so we'll have to change, but I've had them since I was 14 and love them so, so, so much. They are wonderful to work with and have always "had my back," so to speak.

I bank with WF, and am not super happy with them, but I've had a credit card with them since 2003, and I want to keep it open for my credit report to show I've had a long-term CC.
I read from Suze Orman that credit unions are the way to go, so I set up an IRA and a savings account with Texans Credit Union and I have been very happy with them so far. Granted, without a checking account there I'm not exposed to many day to day operations.

EDIT: FI worked at Bank of the Ozarks for a few years in college and refuses to ever use a big bank again. But he's letting me keep my WF account. :)

Please remember to switch from your comfy Tom's to your heels next time you decide to walk into your Managers office.

I bank with Bank of America and Compass. BOA has an account that doesn't charge fees as long as you do everything electronically. But I would agree with cwaggoner and suggest a Credit Union. They aren't as easily accesible but are much better than most national chain banks.

If I could bold on this dang iPad I would, but credit unions ALL the way. It's my industry that I work in, but beyond that, they truly care about your financial well being, way more than a bank EVER will.

Wendi, go to www.asmarterchoice.org and you can get tons of info on credit unions, and also find one/or many that are near you that you can join.

• Dear SIL and BIL,
No, it isn't cool for you to volunteer J and I to take your parents in for two weeks of every month because you are 'sick' of them. How bouts we find them a nice senior community to live in so that none of us are burdened? Cause I swear to Jeebus that if the 'two weeks here, two weeks there' thing is what is happening then I will actively look for a job not in Texas and move away from your BS. YOU asked them to live with you. Now that they are on your nerves, you don't get to pull me into this sh!tshow.
thank.you.very.much,
B!tchy SIL

I know that this might come off as selfish and bratty, but this seems to happen every 6 months or so and the parents always just end up still living with SIL and BIL anyway.
It is true what they say--when you get married you marry the ENTIRE family. Jason must be adopted, because he is so not like the rest of these folks.
