We went and got our marriage license today! I was super freaked out - I've been asking FI for his birth certificate for months. He gives it to me late last night and it's not a certified copy - just a photocopy with no raised seal. And he was born out of state so we can just run downtown and grab another one. Luckily, the lady was super nice and let us use it without too much hassle. As we were leaving the city hall FI  says "wow its like real now" Yay!

Congrats! So exciting and how nice of the clerk. Neither FI nor I know exactly where our birth certificates are so we both used our passports instead.

woooohooooo I went and applied for ours today too!! I have to go pick it up on Monday!! It is so exciting!
