I actually met with him last week.  He's a really nice guy, and his photos are fabulous.  My wedding planner highly recommended him, and she definitely has high standards.  We would have used him, but he was out of our budget.  Good luck!

I looked at his website and to be honest, he's not one of my favorites.

There are a lot of great photographers out there.  There was just a thread posted about photogrpaher recommendations. Here's the link http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/local-wedding-boards_texas-dallas-ft-worth_experienced-photographers

    Hmmm, okay..

@ audra - we're meeting with him next week, and my planner highly recommended him too.  The price quote we got is a bit higher than I wanted to spend, but I might be willing to work it in if he's as good as she says he is.

@ ewinkler - I know what you mean about his site... I'm kinda like "meh..." I like what I see, but I dont LOVE it.  Super thanks for the link though, I will check that out very thoroughly!

We'll meet and see how we feel.  If I'm not 100% on board with it, we'll keep looking.
Thank you so much for the input!

When it comes to photographers, it's most important to trust your instinct over other ppls' recommendations (be that us knotties or your planner).  In addition to their technique, it's really important that you click with your photographers in terms of personality, so they can really understand and capture the emotions of your wedding weekend.

Personally, I wouldn't waste time meeting with a photographer that I don't love what I see right off the bat.  There are so many wonderful photographers out there--I would find one you DO love and start there.

<div>Stephie said this perfectly. I didn't do this. I was so worried about finding someone I could afford, that I settled with the first one with the right price. Go with your gut. If you don't love it, don't waste your time. </div>

I know that bride's have liked his work, one of my friends recommended him.  But like ewinkler, he's not one of my favs.

Connecting with your photographer as a picture taker and a person is important, I think.  Do you "connect" with the person who is taking your pictures?
