***1fwdarlin-airbrush makeup

I saw your post on another thread and thought I'd answer it in a new thread.

Airbrush makeup is 110% worth the money. I took my bridals the first week in August with 104 degree heat and had my makeup airbrushed. I sweated like a sick pig and even that night the makeup looked as fresh as when she put it on.

You'll hear people say that it feels heavy.  It doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all. On a day to day basis I wear mineral powder, blush, and mascara and the airbrush didn't feel bad at all compared to what I typically wear.

I'm totally sold on it. I'm sure others will chime in too! HTH!

I'm going to butt in here...

    10000% agree with her!

I did airbrushing for my wedding that was 8/14, and it was worth every penny. We didn't get married outside, but we took pictures outside and it was blazing hot. Through all the sweating, and crying I did throughout the whole day, my makeup held up and looked flawless all night.

It doesn't feel heavy and cakey at all. It felt great. I also had her airbrush my neck and chest, because I tend to get splotchy when I get hot,or embarassed, or upset, or excited...really any overwhelming emotion of any kind, haha. And it worked wonders for me that day, my chest/neck didn't break out at all!(Well, I'm sure it did..but you couldn't see it ;) )

I was airbrushed for my E-pics and was sold then and there.  At 10:00 at night, it still looked great even after being out for 2 hours in May in the heat.  At my wedding, all I did was powder my nose once after dinner.  I still looked great at the end of the night (pic in my siggy).

It is 100% worth it.  It is lightweight while providing great coverage and photographs beautifully.  I think when people complain about it being heavy or cakey, it is because they had an inexperienced or inferior technician apply it.

Thanks so much for your opinions! You really helped me out because I have never known anyone that has used airbrushed makeup. I'll definitely go that route! Thanks again!

I agree with Lyss, I am definitely interested after reading y'alls good experiences with it. I wasn't sure, because of the cost, but I think I will have to splurge on it now, it definitely sounds like it's worth it!

Me too, please share who you used, and if you don't mind sharing prices, that would be helpful :)

I used Christie Lee for hair and airbrush makeup. She travelled to my hotel and did my mom's hair and makeup and mine.
It's definitely not "cheap", but the results are definitely worth.

My airbrush makeup lasted through the heat of outdoor pictures on August 14th and all the way until the end of the wedding. When I got back to my hotel around 1:30AM, my makeup was still in tact but my eyeliner was running a little bit and that was it. I am attaching a picture of my makeup taken at 1:30 in the morning with our little digital camera.

I used Christie Lee too. I have my trials in my BIO and this evening I'll put my bridals on there too so you can see what I looked like while I was sweating like crazy!

I used Kristin Colaneri.  I picked her because every bride I have ever seen her do looked fabulous.  She did my makeup for my E-pics (PIB) and my makeup and hair for my wedding (PIB).  I also have pics of my trial in my planning bio.  She does have a minimum of services for a Saturday evening wedding that must be met.  But I LOVED her.  She is going to do my makeup for my B-pics in October also.

I agree hands down with everyone else.  I used Amanda with AH Makeup Artistry and it looked and felt awesome!

ETA:  My total was close to $300 and it included my trial, my day-of makeup, 3 partials for my BM's (eyes, lips, and cheeks), and her staying an extra hour for touchups.

    Sorry I'm replying so late.

I used Courtney Phillips with ChiroMakeup. I didn't have one complaint about her, and I feel like her work (on me) speaks for itself.

ETA: As far as prices go, I think I paid about $350 for airbrushing and makeup on the wedding day, as well as a trial a few months before the wedding. That included a $50 travel charge because she had to drive about an hour to get to our venue.

I used Olive Beauty Lounge in Mansfield.  I was so thrilled with the way it held up.  I think we paid about $75-$100 for my day of makeup.  Definitely worth it!

As a makeup artist I can tell you that airbrush makeup is 100% worth it. It is sweat proof and tear proof which is so important on the wedding day. Also it makes your skin look flawless without having to cake on too much full coverage foundation. It also gives the most natural look which is what most brides ask for on their big day!
