Need Dallas Bachelorette Party Ideas

My wonderful MOH (who currently lives out of state) wants to know some good bars/clubs/etc. for taking the girls for my bachelorette party. I haven't lived in Dallas long and the only places I've really been have been pubs. We're staying at a hotel downtown, so any ideas for places downtown (or close by) would be much appreciated!

Pete's Piano Bar in Addison is always fun... and for something different you might look into the Rose Room. Its a drag show and is SO much fun! I planned my cousins bach party and that is where we took her :)

If you want to stay towards uptown try out Candleroom, Tribeca or anything that is on McKinney Avenue for both the clubs and restaurants b/c there are tons!

If you are also looking for somewhere to eat try anything on McKinney Avenue...I like Cubra Libre (mexican) or in West Village there is a fabulous Sushi restaurant called The Fish that is cool.  If you go downtown you could eat at the Iron Cactus (mexican) and then walk downstairs to go to Mantus, both are very Modern type atmostpheres.

It all depends on what type of atmostphere or club/food you are looking for b/c there are so many options.  I suggest to look on www.guidelive.com and look at the restaurants and under venues check out nightlife.  It will help you a lot!

I'm going to be anal, but Cuba Libre is not Mexican...not even a little bit. The name of the title infers the cuisine. Maybe carribean.

Pete's Piano Bar is kind of cliche, but still fun!  I recommend it highly!  :)  Just make sure and get there early!

What do you and your friends enjoy doing? Dancing, fine dining, bar hopping? You can find all of those things in and around downtown; Addison is a bit far, especially if you're driving yourselves. Also, do you want something fancier? If so, Pete's would probably be out too.

I like the idea of having a lingerie party at the hotel with champagne and snacks, hitting a nice dinner, and then go to a few bars and/or dancing.

This was what I did and it was soooo fun!  It helps if you are at a hotel with a great bar too.  The Living Room at the W is a nice one.

Emi, I think that's going to be our plan of attack :) We're doing Monica's for dinner and then going to bars/dancing places afterwards.

Thanks for the suggestions all! I'm going to be busy looking these places up once I get home!

my FSIL had her bach party in Dallas last summer, and we started off at a place called the girls room (???? i think that's it.... I'm from FW so i don't know that much about dallas). But it was a blast!!!! they teach you how to pole dance in a studio and do sexy stripper moves with cute little costumes. then we went to the black friar and to pete's piano bar....  it was a great night!!!!
