This is going to be a little bit of vent.
You all know we bought a house, right? Well in this, there are 2 realtors, one is ours (buyer's agent) and one is the seller's agent. On Sunday we signed the agreement and our realtor turned it over to their realtor for them to sign the agreement.
Well they signed the agreement, BUT crossed out one of our agreements (having them add a padding under the carpet in the master bedroom) and they ADDED that they'll put in $2,000 in the escrow and that WE also need to put in $2,000 too. This was never discussed and the reason for the escrow is because we may not be able to have our septic inspected until spring (snow and frozen ground) so the money is for possible repairs (they are going to pay for the inspection). Excuse me? You cannot do that after we've signed the agreement!
So now we're not going forward with the agreement, we are making a new one which is fine with me. But it has been five days and still nothing from the sellers' agent. He has been so "busy"- his mailbox is full, he is not answering his phone, etc. Our agent finally got ahold of him last night and apparently he's going to "try" to meet with the sellers to have the new agreement signed.
The reason I am pissed is because we have the house inspection today at 3:30 and the well inspection too. In the agreement- the sellers pay for the well and septic inspection, but we pick who to inspect (we pay for the house inspection). If the agreement isn't signed by 3:30 today, we will have to reschedule the well inspection because we're not going to take the risk of having it on us in case something happens without anything being signed.
I worked so hard this week to find a person available to do a well inspection and septic inspection. The septic guy says he'll check out the property and let me know if he's able to inspect it or it'll have to wait until spring. He told me he'd let me know YESTERDAY morning. Still nothing from him. AHHH!!
