CEREMONY & RECEPTION HELP

Hey there, my fiance and I are looking for a cheap ceremony and receptrion place. Somewhere around the dfw area. I would like outside ceremony, indoor reception. Does anyone know somewhere that we could possibly do for a budget of around $3,000.00 And that will work with us on a decent deposit?? Thanks!!!!

Welcome!  Is $3K just for the rental or is that food and beverage also?  Guest size would also be helpful.

You might begin by checking our Venue sticky at the top of the forum--lots of good information there.

You can definitely do a ceremony/reception on $3k.  You just have to be creative.  You can book a DIY venue like the Filter Building.  You can also have the reception on a Saturday afternoon and not serve a full dinner.  We can help you out more, if you provide us with more information.

I agree with PP- is it just for venue or for venue + food + bev? Also, how many people?

You might try the Heard Museum in McKinney- their Science Resource center is DIY- but they have a kitchen, include tables and chairs, and have an ipod hookup. They also allow any caterers and byob. But it is kind of small- 100 people max. They have ceremony places on site- including a balcony and other outdoor sites for an additional fee.

Also, the Dallas Heritage Center has all of their rates listed online.
