I am starting the process of trying to find someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding along with my bridal party. I have always gotten good advice on here. I would prefer someone to do both hair and makeup, as well as come to me. Please recommend your hair/MUA that you have used or going  to use.

*Just wondering I am getting married on Oct. 9 am I behind in only now choosing a MUA?

    I'm getting married on October 2 and just booked the MUA last week. We are using Christie Lee. She is super sweet and willing to work with me on my budget and is coming to our hotel room in Grapevine. She has been great about respoding back quickly through e-mail too!

    When I got married last year, many of the ladies used www.hautefacade.com. I used them myself and was very pleased with the prices and results.

    As for your timing, I booked my artist in March or so for a 30 May wedding. As with all vendors, if you have your heart set on a particular one you must book early.

    I always recommend my MUA, Kristin Colaneri.  She has a minimum of 3 people/6 services for a Saturday wedding, however.

    I have not booked her yet  (she likes to do a trial run first)   but my photographers and other people I speak to love her  - she seems very reasonable in pricing - and comes to your venue (no extra charge) and   I have met her, and I really like her - she will do a free consult -   I think her minimum for Saturday is $275 -  here is her info

    I just booked Erin Gobin for my November wedding. I love her work and I am really excited to us her! she has a 4 person minimum (including the bride) on Saturdays but mine is on a Friday so she was willing to work with my small wedding party :)

    I'm using Emily Hudspeth for my May wedding.  She also has a Saturday minimum (I believe $250).  She's super sweet and funny, and she does both hair and makeup.

    I would definitely book early - I started looking for people back in December and many of the people were already booked for May.
