Pilates in Dallas?

Any Pilates lovers on here? I took a semester of classes on the reformer and LOVED them, but I haven't heard of any affordable places around here. Anyone know of any? I'm specifically looking for reformer classes, not mat classes.

24 hour fitness has them -- not sure you'd want to get a membership just for that though.  But if you were thinking of one anyway, they do have them.

I love Pilates but have gotten out of the habit of doing it.  It would probably kill me now!

I also love Pilates, but 24 doesn't offer very many classes - my location only has one a week. And, I'm not a big fan of the instructor. She does the exact same routine every single week. But I've only ever done mat Pilates, so I can't really help beyond that. Sorry!

Stephie--do they have reformer pilates? I tried calling the 24 hour near me and the guy was like, "What? Milates? No, but we have spinning"

Yes, it's called Pilates Reformer.  There is also Reformilates which is a combination of the machine and the mat.

I do workouts at both Rockwall and Mesquite (Emporium) since I live between the two. The Mesquite gym has alot of classes--however, they are closed for remodeling until October.   They are going to reopen as a Supersport--the "fanciest" tier of gyms.  The gym in Richardson (Campbell) has some too I think.  You can type in your zip code on the website and view the class schedules for the gyms nearest you to see if they have them.

    I LOVE Pilates.

I started Pilates about 3 years ago in college. I got out of it for a year or 2, and I just started back up.

We go to the YMCA in Coppell and I do PiYo twice a week, which is a combination of Pilates and Yoga. It's amazing. It's all mat, though. So, I'm not really much help, sorry!

My 24 Hour Fitness (in the mid-cities, which I know is far away from you) has the same classes Stephie mentioned... so I'm willing to bet you will be able to find some there.

I used to go to a gym where it was called Gravity Pilates as well, you might try looking under that name.

There is a new place off Abrams & Mockingbird that has reformer Pilates - that's all they do -  in the shopping center with Albertsons & TCBY.  Reformer Pilates is also offered at Tom Landry Center (Baylor Hospital) gym  and I hear the classes are great
