B&M Monday

Re: B&M Monday

  • I'm having sister drama. Man I remember the days when I was 21 and I knew everything...
  • I am at work til noon, then I have to run to MOHs apartment to try on my dress one last time, then off to my trainer and home to pack. I leave for LA at 9:40PM :(

  • EEP!!! It's wedding week for you, Wendi!

  • I don't see how we can already have outgrown our house...we've not even been back in Texas two years yet. Maybe that just means I need to get rid of stuff. That's an issue for me!
  • Wendi ~ I sure hope you can enjoy your week! So excited for you!!

We don't get Uverse at our house. Or Fios. We can have satellite or Time warner. I am not a happy camper. Literally ONE highway exit up the road.

People at work are pissing me off. If you knew you were going to be out of something you should have taken care of that Friday. Not my issue.

I should have an oven answer today, and our new appliances and water are being delivered/turned on today! Yay!

ETA:My CWs are incredibly nosy. Now I remember why I don't take vacation days for exciting things like moving or buying a house.

  • Boo, Kathleen, that sucks about no Uverse/Fios. I have become so spoiled by Uverse, I would flip without it.

  • I miss Uverse too!  We were supposed to have it but the people before us never paid their bill and so Uverse said they couldn't start a new account.  So...we have time warner.  And they have been less than satisfatory.  I feel your pain.  :(

I ate waaaay too much at last night's superbowl party and I'm feeling the pain today.  That's my B&M...and it's my own fault.  :(

<div>Ugh, I know how that feels.  We've lost two houses now and we're pretty afraid to pull the trigger on anything else until we get a definitive, "Yes, you are moving to Oklahoma," or "No, you are staying here," from Halliburton.  I'm so sorry, Amy.

Ugh. I'm so sorry... I can't imagine all the stress. :(
  • @angelsong- That's terrible! I'm sorry. Today is going to be a b&m day for sure. The appliance guy was supposed to be here at 12:30. He apparently got here early or something(because I was here at 12:25) and didnt call anyone...just left. I called the dispatcher her response? "well he should have been there already." She then calls me back to say that he's eating lunch and will be back in 15 minutes. I informed her that I was on my lunch break and I guess I have to wait but I'm not happy about it. Her response? "that's fine." click. Seriously? Then the guy rolls up at almost 1:30...he looks high as a kite...his response to being late "it's no big deal." oh. Right. Now, I just heard him all the way in the house say "oww! F***!" I would say hopefully our neighbors are at work...but I think they are all retired. :( *end rant* deeeep breaths.

Are you sure you don't live near me?  We get things for FIOS all the time on our door and, after calling the second time, they were rude and obnoxious to Bill.  I told him I wouldn't buy it from them if they were giving it away now.  They pretty much asked him why he was calling since it wasn't available in our area.  Why do you keep putting the notices on our door for the service if you're not in our area?
  • Amy, so sorry to hear about the house! That ust means there's something even more perfect out there, right??!! Kathleen, waiting...sucks!!!

I'm not sure where you live. We don't get notices or anything but I jut assumed since we weren't moving far at all that we would be able to have uverse.

But at this point hopefully the water person will be here at 3...that'd be nice since I'm supposed to be here between 3-5 to wait for him "in case he has an issue".
At least then I'd be able to use the restroom...

  • Crash -- I had a ton of trouble with delivery people. I had two separate times that Sears had told me I'd have a delivery, I'd arranged the time with work, and then they told me there had been a problem with the scheduling and I didn't actually have an appointment that day after all. TWICE!

I had the same problem with the place I bought my furniture from, but thankfully (I guess?) only once. But if you add it all up, that was a TON of time I got off work that I had to make up ... for nothing. Ugh.

On the other hand, the few deliveries my H was there for all came perfectly as scheduled. He's lucky that way. I should make him handle ALL future deliveries.
  • After a week of reprimanding my assistant manager for poor performance and breaching loss prevention policies. Gave her a verbal warning just over a week ago and typed a written warning this morning for her performance issues for last week. she comes to work today telling me she left her store key in her wallet which got stolen and now we have to change the locks at the store. Who does that? Hmm why not put your key on your key ring? Can I fire her already??

I am so sorry, Amanda. :(

I feel beyond ridiculous for being as upset about it as I am.  We only saw the house once for 20 minutes, and I became that attached to it that I really cared this much?  That seems a bit on the craycray side.  It's just that everything else we've look at in our price range has been complete crap.  Either its in a wonderful neighborhood but needs tons of work (money we don't have) or its a nicer house in a really bad neighborhood... and some or just old and desperately need more updates than we can afford (red carpet, really?!).  I guess I just feel like we missed our one shot to own a really nice home in our price range. :(

Thank you all for the support.  Sorry to have talked so much about it recently.  But I really appreciate the kind words.

Crash -- Yeah, TW is the pits.  That's our only option at our apartment complex... never again.
