Ruthe Jackson Venue?!

I looked online for reviews for this location but I haven't found any. I wanted to see if you ladies had an experience with them? Thanks!!

Only one poster who doesn't come around here anymore has used it, and I think she was happy with it.

I don't have any personal experience, but from what I've seen of the people who do use it, it looks like they usually end up spending a lot of money on the reception space to make it look "wedding-y" I guess.

Is this in the old radio building and on Pioneer?  If so, that's where two friends of mine had their reception and it was great!

I went to look at the Ruthe Jackson Center last Saturday and I didn 't stay much longer after they gave me the tour. The gardens are beautiful if you want an outdoor wedding but their indoor ceremony space had no appeal to me. It's in the front lobby. They have a nice sized ballroom but its going to take a lot of decor to make it feel wedding-y. There is no "bridal dressing room" but they will allow you to use an alternate meeting room to get prepared for the day (no mirrors by the way) It's a nice place, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't for me. I didn't like it. Have you scheduled a tour? You may feel different and/or the things I mentioned above may not be as big a deal to you as they were for me.....GOOD LUCK :-)

I just booked this for my wedding that will be held on 4.19.2013. To fill up the ballroom space (which i am only using half of because we are having 80-100 guests) p.s. they have a divider to split up space...i plan non doing family style seating and have a little larger dance floor. Im excited and I was told by Cheryl there will be mirrors brought into the space. the dressing space is alot larger than some places that i actually viewed. But again to each its own. and the wedding is what you make it...
