[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Can we talk about veils again??? : Ha funny you should say that. I just read this thread ( clicky ) and it made me tear it up. What am I going to do at my wedding...??

oh MAN. I am just as bad, if not worse, about my crying at mundane everyday things as those girls are. I cried just reading the girl's description about the commercial with the girl dancing with her dad. BAH! If I can't even read a description of a commercial I have never seen without crying....there is NO WAY I will make it through my wedding without blubbering like an idiot.
  • Hands down cathedral...no blusher I.
  • I definitely vote for cathedral length. I have one. It has a second layer that is fingertip length and acts like a blusher. The cathedral length part is detachable and I'll take it off after the ceremony but probably leave the shorter part on. Also mine is covered in rhinestones and pearls. I got it for 200 less than the bridal store wanted at a discount bridal shop. Try seeing if there is something like that in your area.

  • I love cathedral length veils. I think the pictures with them are just gorgeous, and it will look gorgeous with your dress.
The blusher is good for 2 options; one being the tradition everyone has mentioned of pulling it back, which would be very special in a church with tradition in your family.
Second, it would be great if you wanted to leave your veil on for the whole wedding day. The cathedral length will just be in the way at the reception; but if you still wanted a veil, the shorter one would be perfect to leave in.

<div>I teared up reading it, too! I prob would have cried if I were at home, but I was at work so I was trying not to look like a total wonker. I liked that one girl's trick where her FI/DH did the special nod at her as she walked towards him so that she would laugh in stead of cry. Seems like a neat trick!</div>

yes, I loved that one!! I am going to have to think of something to tell my fiance to do for when I start looking like I am going to sob. I also liked the girl who said that she "visualized" all of the tearjerker moments over and over to de-sensitize herself to them....but I am sure nothing will actually go like I picture in my head, haha!
