How was everyone's weekend? What are the plans for the week WR & NWR?

ahhhhhhhhh we are finally moved into our new house. the last two days have felt like a fairy tale. I can't wait to actually be married to my fiance!!!!

Happy Monday and Happy wedding Month!!

My weekend was great   Friday night FI and I had dinner with his dad and stepmom which is always nice and relaxing. Saturday we lost power due to some nasty storms but I was spending the day at my moms and FI was working so it was all good.  I had my make-up trial on Saturday afternoon which went really well.  Saturday night we had a BBQ for a friend who is home visiting while on leave (his is in the military).  Sunday FI and I went to church to select our music for the ceremony and then after we took a ride to the beach and just spend the day together which was awesome since we dont really get to do that on weekends.

Last night we put together our seating chart!  It was much easier then I had expected it to be.

This week-
WR- I pick up my wedding dress this weekend so I am so excited to get that.  I want to get our programs printed now that we have our music and I have a few other simple DIY projects I want to get done.

NWR- Wednesday FI and I are going to the beach for the day and friday we start half day Fridays for the summer

My weekend was good, except that I realized I screwed up in printing my escort cards somehow. So I thought I had them finished only to realize about 30 are missing. I have to figure that out tonight.

This week:
WR: FInish programs and escort cards. Finish packing. Finish cocktail hour playlist. Some other random things.
NWR: Tie up loose ends at work as it's my last week here before the wedding - sooo excited!

Happy Monday all!

Went to FI's BM's wedding this weekend and it was just wonderful!  Didn't get to sleep till 3am and now we're paying for it!  Went to bed last night at 8pm.  We are so lame.  Haha  So worth it though!

WR - Meeting with the DJ and videographer this week and finalizing all the littles things, centerpieces and such.  I'm really hoping to get the final, final count to the venue but I'm thinking it's going to have to wait till next Monday since I'm waiting on my cousin to tell me if he's coming for sure or not (he's a pilot so his schedule can change up till the week of).  Lots of other little things like Butterfly said!  Can't list them all here!

NWR - Said good bye to my FI this morning since I'm going back to PA.  I cried. Gotta get packing and get on the road!

I am getting married this Saturday! I can't believe it's almost here!

This weekend was my bachelorette party in Chicago and it was so much fun! We went to a comedy club and ate amazing food and I got lots of pretty lingerie. FI and I also finished up a lot of small projects, like our escort card board!!








I have two days of work this week and then am off until the wedding. We really don't have much left to do so I'm hoping to relax and enjoy the week!

Only a few more Mondays to go...

My weekend was insane.  Between moving and 100 degree weather and our U-Haul catching fire, I'm in desperate need of a vacation.  On the other hand, my year of working out with a trainer has really paid off because I was lifting heavier furniture than most of FI's friends who helped us out.  *flexes muscles*

WR: Got a nice surprise email from our hotel letting us know they've upgraded us to a free fancy suite for our wedding night.... along with a not so nice surprise of letting us know how much the shuttle upgrade is. $$$$$.  Seating chart is done for my side of the family, so FI and his parents have to sit down and figure out their side.

NWR: THANK GOD for a day off this week because I need an extra day to work at getting our new house settled.  I slept on my mom's floor last night because I was just too tired to drive back to our house and have to put the bed together, etc.  I get my new kitchen ceiling fans installed tomorrow! YAY!

Butterfly- Congrats on the move-in! I don't think I knew you were moving this weekend. I'm excited to see some pics.

Ceglare- You're getting married in less than a week. Ahhh!!! Where did you go in Chicago?

We've got to start and finish our ceremony programs. Well we've got it pretty much all typed up on the computer (waiting to finalize the music), but then we have to print, cut and assemble. We're doing like a 4 layered thing where they are all different lengths and flap up. So, it's a bit more involved than I thought we would do. 

Then between this week and next week, we've got final meetings with different vendors up the wazoo.

AHHH I can't believe its July!

This weekend went well. FI's shows were great. And we finished the seating chart! It really wasn't that difficult.

WR: Welcome letter, escort cards, timeline, photo list, make-up trial, final dress fitting, TY cards, attempting to find umbrellas, making cupcake boxes, call florist re: how many tables, and I'm sure a bunch of other things Im not thinking of.

NWR: Not very much. I'm under two weeks now and everything for the venue has to be there in exactly a week so I have to get that stuff done.

Ceglare--I'm so excited for you!  It's finally here after being on this board for what seems like forever!

FI and I went to get my wedding band over the weekend, so that' one less stress for me.  Otehr than that, I hung out with one of my BMs who is in town.  We saw Magic Mike and hung out in the pool yesterday.  

This week: Thank goodness for a day off on Wednesday.  Calling people who didn't send in their RSVPs, making programs and table numbers, and finishing up the BM gifts.

Laurel - I love the escort board! You are a lot craftier than you give yourself credit for! And you must have the craftiest FI on this board. I was super impressed with his GM gift wrapping skills last week, and now this.

K8888 - WHAT??? your uhaul caught on fire?? that's insane....hope everything else went smoothly!

FI and I are lazy and we hired movers. It was literally like 100 degrees - one of our mover dudes was "in training" and I swear, he spent more of the day sitting inside telling me his life story than he did moving boxes. the other guys were so mad at hime. And one of the other guys FELL OFF OF THE MOVING TRUCK. I don't know how he continued to function.

mbody thanks for the well wishes!!! We still have boxes EVERYWHERE and I am going crazy with all of the clutter, but we are so happy! We cooked in our new home on Saturday night and sat down at the dinner table and looked at each other and we both started crying - that was when it hit us that we were actually in our "forever" home and not going anywhere! then we took a bath together in our jacuzzi tub and ALMOST ruined our "aheming" break until I jumped out of the bathtub and pissed fiance off.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's in TWELVE DAYS AHHHH. I got so much accomplished this weekend, though, so I at least am kind of happy with where we stand. I picked up everything for the out of town bags (like, a ton of really neat stuff), everything for the programs, everything for bridesmaids' gifts, had my final dress fitting, found out my mom is wearing her "new" dress rather than the one she paid thousands for (whatever - don't get me started . . . ), met with the music coordinator at the church, gave the mirrors to the calligrapher who is writing out our seating chart and menu, and probably a thousand other things.

ceglare - Did you guys use one of those Martha Stewart paper punching things on your escort cards? If so, how easy were they to use? I picked one up this weekend at Michael's and I am terrified I am going to screw it up. I am using them for the outer portion of the programs.

Butterfly - OMG I cannot believe you moved into your house! It feels like a day ago that you guys were negotiating with that biscuit of a seller. I am so happy for you!

WR: Finish programs (met with music coordinator at the church this weekend and it went so well. I love our cantor!); get the calligrapher the list of seating arrangements and table assignments and proper wording for the menu so that she can finish those up!

NWR: Uh, eat basically liquids until the wedding. I looked kind bloated in my dress this weekend so I am going to cut out some food to see if it makes me feel better.

Butterfly, your story about Sat night was sooo cute and then abruptly got adult rated haha.

The truck we were given was a real POS and was leaking fluid for most of the day.  We were on our way to drop it off when my FFIL pulled the truck over because it started smoking and I pulled up along the side and saw the engine was on fire, so I yelled at him to turn off the engine and get out and then we called the fire department.  We were lucky in that we were done with it at that point and hadn't gotten on the highway yet, either.

The fire was out by the time the fire department opened the lid, but they had to check it anyway.

UGH, butterfly... so jealous.  I considered calling the wedding off so we could afford to hire painters and movers hahaha.  So worth it.

Our weekend was eventful. We moved FI into our new apt (I won't move in till after the wedding). Our washing machine in the old apt flooded the apt below us when we unhooked it. That was so stressful and I felt just awful for the people below us but thankfully the move is DONE and we have our new home!

WR - this weekend is my bachelorette party!!!! Yay!!!! I have NO idea how it's going to go down. I haven't really talked with my MOH about it. So we will see :P

NWR - I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I could not be more relieved... I feel so thankful that I can help contribute to our finances and bills and new furnishings. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers about it!

NWR: Saw Magic Mike with some girlfriends on Saturday. All I can say is "damn."

WR: FI's parents threw a "pre-wedding" pool party at their house yesterday with my fam. Was really nice but hot as Hades.

bridetobe: FI actually printed, cut, and punched the cards himself, so you know that means the puncher thing is super easy to use haha. They have templates for you to match up what you've already punched, and it is really easy.

mbody: we stayed at the Hilton Suites on Delaware and the comedy club we went to was the Second City. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and the Grand Lux Cafe (my new fav restaurant haha).

pillsbury, I'm excited and nervous and jittery haha. And have zero motivation to do anything at work. It's bad.

Happy Monday, everyone!! Sounds like everyone had busy weekends! K8888 I'm so glad you are okay! 

This weekend, we got lots of stuff accomplished! I had my final fitting on Friday and my mom and I assembled all of our favors. I will try to PIP later when I'm not at work! I also got in contact with the make-up and hair people. They are coming a bit earlier than I thought, but I think it will be better to start earlier rather than later since we have 8 people getting hair/makeup. FI and I went to his friend's pool on Saturday so I got a little color! I also saw Magic Mike yesterday with one of my BMs! It actually had a good storyline and Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey are VERY easy on the eyes

I only have two more days of work then I'm off! We really have gotten almost everything finished. I just need to finalize the timeline, put ribbon on the OOT bags, and drop stuff off at the venue. FI is still trying to squeeze a dance lesson in, but he has yet to make an appointment. We have been practicing at home, so I think we will be fine. I can't believe it's only a few days away! I can't wait

ceglare- I loooove Second City! SO funny!

Paige and I have been looking for a small hole punch for our ceremony programs. We checked Michaels and Wal-Mart so far with no luck. I don't need it to be anything other than a circle.. why is that so hard to find! And I'd like it to be a smaller hole than the whole size on notebook paper because our ribbon is pretty small that will tie it all together.

AHH! Every week now, someones to do list will involve THE ACTUAL WEDDING!!!!! omg. 

Anyways. we moved FI into our house sunday. Its great to have him there, but now I have to go through and sort through everything i have to pack and unpack. ugh. 

This week todos: WR: guestbook/scrapbook. Escort cards after I finalize the seating chart, which is mostly done. Drop cakestand and toppers at the bakers. I keep forgetting to make a must-have photo list. i also found a potential outdoor photo spot, and i want to check it out. and break in my shoes more. And pick up the marriage license. I applied for it, I just need to pick it up. 

NWR: move the leftover stuff out of my apartment. Tomorrow the cable and internet guy is coming to our house. Wednesday is family stuff for the holiday. And saturday is our first Detroit Tigers game of the year.
