My bridals are tomorrow, and I was freaking out about a hairpiece/veil. Well, I ended up making my own hairpiece out of a large applique that was attached to my dress that I had Becky take off. The top two are from that applique, the one on the bottom is a runner up in case something goes wrong, and the two on the left are for my flower girls (in case you can't tell, I had a little hair accessory factory going on last night).

I think the hair piece you made is very cute!  I also need to tell you that McFly is friggin' adorable.

My AW is that we got to watch a standoff last night for awhile.  It was pretty much awesome until we learned the guy was either in an upstairs room or on the roof, and then we hauled butt out of there.  It was so crazy to see something like that in real life, though.  There were about 8-10 cops with guns drawn out there, and some of them were pretty big, high-powered guns.  Don't know what happened and was surprised to see that the story didn't make it onto the news last night.

A standoff? it's pretty interesting how much stuff doesn't make the news.

My AW is we are at the 3 month mark!! The time up until the last few months went by so fast now we feel like its creeping along :-(

I love your hairpieces! I ended up going to Sam Moon to get mine last minute. It is absurd how much bridal places charge for something like that so I am glad you were able to DIY. 

I am going to Coldplay tomorrow then off to my HM on Saturday (although I am sure I have AWed enough of that this week). Tomorrow = Me + Chris Martin sexy time. DH just happens to be a bystander.... who bought me the tickets... heh (thanks J!).

Amy - That's exciting!!! Man, I love nothing more than snooping on my neighbors. It will be sad when I'm no longer an apartment resident.

Amanda - I KNOW on the hairpieces! The ones at Terry Costa (which I don't consider to be super high-end) were charging, like $85 for a HAIR CLIP. I just got lucky that my dress had this awful applique that was simply tacked on. Becky removed it in 5 seconds and then told me she would have been very disappointed if I didn't remove it. But I saved it, and now I KNOW it will match my dress. Oh and all it cost was a 99c pack of clear hair combs.

Today is my Friday... that is until 6am Sunday when I have a buyout event at our center. This is after our BBQ/Party Saturday night, which usually don't end til 5am. EEK! No rest for the wicked.

Got my OK tag (which is a bittersweet accomplishment) and an estimate for the damage on my car.  I'm certainly glad I'M not paying for this.  The guy was actually saying it's too bad there wasn't just a LITTLE more damage, because there's a dent in one of the doors that they could have fixed (it's been there since I bought the car) if there had been any fender or frame damage.

And I take my final certification test today.  I was told it's kind of a joke because it's so easy.

And a bit of a gripe: I forgot that I have to get copies of all my transcripts and certificates (which I technically don't have yet) and I can't find the cord to hook my printer up AND since I updated to Windows 7, my printer software is no longer compatible with my computer.  First world problems.  =(

the only AW I have is the sample Cindy emailed me of the mini story board I'm getting of my daughter's senior pics. They turned out cute.
