Bridals... again

Thanks for everyones help on where to do my bridal portraits. It turns out I can do them at the hotel for free!

So I have a date/time scheduled, but now I'm really nervous about them. I know that it's dumb, but I get worried about dumb stuff like this... I feel like I'm going to be really awkward and I'm not going to know how to pose and what to do.

The photographer will direct me right? Or do I need to do some research?

Any advice?

    Oh good--I figured you could.  Glad that worked out.  I didn't do bridals but I would suggest just to relax and have fun with it.  A good photographer will definitely guide you in the right direction.

    I didn't do bridals, but I've been looking at photography blogs for about a year now, and I have yet to see any "awkward-looking" bridal pics. There doesn't appear to be a ton of posing to it, either ... mainly, just you in a pretty dress!

    My photographer told us what to do in our engagement and wedding day pictures, so I assume you'll get a lot of direction for the bridal pics too.

    I don't think you need to do any research ... but maybe if you haven't been photographed in front of a camera before (i.e., if you didn't do engagements), maybe have a friend snap a few pictures of you so you can try to relax in front of a camera. And perhaps try a few serious (non-smiling) pictures so you can practice that.

    We did engagements, but with a friend, and since FI was there, it wasn't uncomfortable. I get so shy around people I don't know. And since I've only met my photographer for the consultation I'm afraid I'll clam up.

    I need a xanax!

    You'll be fine! Your photog will most likely direct you and work with you to make you feel comfortable. If you're worried, you can always call up your photog to discuss what to expect.
