Classic Fire Truck

Does anyone know where I could find a classic fire engine to rent for a couple of hours?  I've tried all of the traditional routes through google and have not been able to find a older model truck to rent.

Thank you!

I know there is a Fire department museum in Dallas, I don't know that they will let you rent the truck though.

    It never hurts to ask.

  • I thought about that too -- maybe they woud be able to put me in contact with a local collector

  • Honestly, you might also check with some limousine rental companies.  I know some of them specialize in renting out vintage cars.

  • Are you looking to drive it, or just to take pictures with it?

There is a beautiful one at the entrance to a farm in McKinney off of Custer between ElDorado and Virginia. I've always seen it parked in the same place, so I'm not sure if it's driveable or not.

  • Did you find anything on renting a truck?  I was thinking of that for my FI and I.  He was a fireman for many years.
    Thanks!
