Memorial Day Plans?

What are you all doing/going for the upcoming long weekend???
 
I haven't had a day off of work since MLK day in Juanuary, so I am super excited for this long weekend! FI and I are headed to the Colorado river(where we met) for a weekend on the boat, tanning and relaxing! Supposed to be a toasty 100 degrees which I love out there! Can't wait!

Fiance and I fly to Orlando tomorrow afternoon! I am SO EXCITED for a 4 day weekend, we wiill be there tomorrow night and stay until 8pm Monday night! I haven't had a day off since New Year's, and I am exhausted!!

We are flying down to spend time with some of fiance's family who lives down there, and going to fiance's cousin's high school graduation. I am really close with her and she is one of my junior bridesmaids!!

We are going to Universal Studios on Saturday to go to Harry Potter world and drink butterbeer I am sooooooo excited!!! probably spending lots of time swimming and sunning by the pool with her as well.  If only I wasn't stuck with so much work and stressing about the house and finishing our invites, I would be more excited about this trip.....I haven't even packed anything yet!!

I don't have many plans for this weekend, but I'm still excited for it! The last day off I had was at the end of February. FI and I are going to MSU with my family on Sunday for my cousin's high school graduation. I haven't been on campus since the fall for tailgating so I'm just excited to visit again!

We might head to FI's mom's house on Monday to lay out by the pool. I'm not too keen on seeing or spending time with her, but it's supposed to be ungodly hot and humid, which will likely keep her in the house.

I am so excited for the long weekend! Every year, my parents have a big party at their house so I'll be there for that. We BBQ, hang out in the pool, and play games (volleyball, basketball, etc). It's always such a good time and I'm so looking forward to it! The weather is finally warming up so it will be the first time we could use the pool this year.

So excited for this weekend! I get five days since I work at a school that only used one snow day! Which means that starting in just 2 short hours I am on vaction!

Tomorrow FI and I are going to get our marriage license. And my mom and I are finishing the invites and putting them in the mail.

Saturday My mom, sister and I are going to visit my Aunts. They are our officiants so we are going to write the ceremony. This will be done while sitting around their pool!

No plans for the other days which is just how I like it!

It's a weekend of remembrance, too!  Thank a vet!

I'll be heading down the shore with one of my BMs and 2 of her other girl friends for a girls-only weekend.  I'm hoping the weather stays decent enough so we can relax on the beach Saturday.  Friday and Saturday nights we'll be hitting up the boardwalk.

The rest of the weekend is up in the air!

Aww, I'm jealous. It's not a holiday here, so I will have to work Monday. But we have a long weekend the following week, so it's not so bad!

We are attending FI's cousin's wedding on Sunday... I am SO excited

Fi family and I are going camping for 4 days! We go every year since FI bday usaully lands on Memorial weekend. May 28th. FI parents go GLAMPING, RV. and we have a huge 10 person tent FI got last year for his birthday. We leave Friday and return Monday. 

But that week we return is action packed. Tuesday my son has a min. day at school, then a doctors appt, then a teeball game. Wednesday is another Min. day Thursday is a min day, my sons last day of 1st grade, last day to rsvp for the wedding and my little brothers birthday. Then June 1st I pick up and have final fitting for my wedding dress, FI picks up and makes final payment on his custom made suit, and its my FI birthday dinner. June 2nd We make final payment on our wedding cake, and I have some bridesmaids coming over for lunch, swimming, and work on removing the old wine bottle labels and putting on the custom ones we had made.

I don't have any major plans, but I'm hoping to go out with some friends on Saturday- finally don't have science club and/or family obligations!  What I'm looking forward to the most is getting the invitations done and having that checked off the list, and having a picnic with FI on Monday.  For the past 3 years we've gone to this park near our condo for a low-key picnic on Memorial Day and I like the tradition of just hanging out the two of us.

Nothing too exciting. We're staying home and getting some stuff done around the house. Saturday we are opening up our joint checking account and ordering FI's ring. Probably our marriage license too.

going to the jersey shore whoop whoop hopefully i come back tan   Our friends live a block away from the beach so we go to their house on the long weekends.  We beach it up drink beers and eat good food

Nothing, it is going to be 85 here on saturday so I will be at the beach laying out and trying to get some color.

I hope it's nice out so we can go to Central Park! Other than that, no concrete plans. We were going to go to my family's beach house, but it's such a clusterf*ck to get there that it's not worth it, especially because we're not sure if we'll have to work Monday. We both have off, but that doesn't mean anything in law firm world.

I have nothing exciting planned! FI is going to LA for the weekend so I plan on cleaning the whole house and organizing all of our shower gifts.  I also desperately need to go through old clothes and donate them.  I also plan on working out every day! I've been slacking.  I will probably spend some time with my family too.

K8888 and LADY... I was down the shore in Seaside last weekend! The weather was perfect...  I'm really hoping you guys have a nice weekend down there!!

I plan to do NOTHING!!! It will be my 3rd full day off since New Years Day, only had a snow day and Easter off. We do have a zillion house related chores to do so I plan to spend Sunday afternoon shopping and then Monday working around house/yard. Originally wanted to host a BBQ but a day to ourselves sounds better.

I get home late afternoon on friday so I will prob just have dinner with my sister since FI is leaving for Boston Friday morning for work   Over a week apart really sucks!!

Saturday I will be headed to the Jersey shore for a wedding and then if I am not totally exhausted possibly a BBQ sunday night.  We will see!! I am off Monday and then I am off again on wednesday with FI So excited for a day off together

Ditto Bmore...no memorial day weekend for me. We did have a four day weekend on May 1st for labor day.

My English friend is excitedly planning my "hen do".  I won't call it my bachelorette party since she's English.  Saturday going for a massage and a facial (just the 2 of us) then we're meeting a 3rd friend (who is pregnant) for pizza and then the original friend and I are going dancing.  Her husband and my FI will have a playdate (we met through them).

I'll spend the night at hers and her DH will probably spend the night at mine and we'll all meet up on Sunday for a BBQ  (I'll bring the american flag!).

Yay for long weekends! Besides the one the weekend that we moved I haven't had a 3 day weekend since the vacation I took after Christmas.  So pumped to have 3 days off, and I made it longer today by asking to leave at noon on Friday.  I have some house work and schoolwork to get done on Friday.  Saturday lounging by the pool probably and unpacking/housework.  Sunday we have a cookout at FI's aunt's house and a cookout at my boss's house.  Monday more lounging by the pool and unpacking/housework.  Oh and I guess I should work on some DIY projects for the wedding.
