I hope you had a great time visiting with your parents.  I thought about you on Thursday as I was peeling potatoes.

    Hey, thanks!  I had an amazing time!  I honestly can't remember the last time I had such a great time with my mom.  And I also can't remember the last time my dad was so relaxed and in such a good, carefree mood.  It has literally been at least 10 years since I've seen them act the way they were.  

    While I don't like them being far away, this new job for my dad has turned their relationship around, so I can't be mad about that.
    It was hard to say goodbye to them last night.

    How was your Thanksgiving with your IL's?

    It was okay.  I'm glad they're gone and I'm sure they're glad to be gone.  They don't get the concept of making things easy on the cooks though.  I was a little worried that they didn't understand that we weren't coming until after Christmas but they seem to have accepted the idea.
