my dinnerware is being discontinued :-(

yesterday i found out that the dinnerware that me and my fiance selected is being discontinued.  it is no longer being sold in stores, just online until they run out of whatever they have left in stock.  and now i have spent hours looking at new styles and can't find anything that i really like.  i know that our wedding is far away and that something like this could happen, but still kind of bumming about it.  the only reason we registered so early was because friends and family kept asking and our families ued our registry to get us some christmas presents.

i guess i'm going to have to keep a look out and hope that a new style comes out that i will like.

I would recommend you find something else that you like.  If your pattern is discountinued NOW before the wedding, it might be really hard to scrape together enough pieces just to start out, and then if you have any breakage in the future you will have a really hard time replacing pieces.  

If you find something else NOW then it will be MUCH easier to get the pieces you want now, and easier to buy replacements in years to come if anything breaks.

What was your pattern?  Maybe if you post it, people can suggest other things you might like.  

Our everyday pattern was discontinued, too, but that was maybe 5 years ago, and there is still enough stock that Macy's carries it, so we registered for it anyway.  We might pick up a few more place settings if we see a good deal on it.

thanks ladies! orginally i only registered at bed bath and beyond cause they had everything we wanted and needed.  i think i may find another pattern we like at macys, kohls or target and register there along with a few other things.  i don't want to settle on a pattern i don't really love just because its at bed bath and beyond.

Do you mind sharing which pattern it was? We are also registered at BBB and I am hoping it's not the same one we registered for!
