Should I Switch a Registry Just for Fiesta?

So, along with the help from the lovely ladies on this board, I have successfully registered at Target and BB&B. I only have to find a BB&B with fine china so I pick that out & add a few little things to the Target one and done.

I never found a set of everyday dishware that I really liked at Target/BB&B, but put down the one I liked the most. Now I read someone's post on here about Fiesta and am in LOVE!

I think it would be a bit much to register only for Fiesta items at Macy's/Khol's, so I'm considering moving the Target registry to Kohl's. I'm not doing Macy's since some of my guests have it stuck in their head that it's expensive (use a coupon people!), but I read so many bad things about both the Target & Khol's registry that I don't know which is the lesser of two evils?

What, oh what do I do?

Re: Should I Switch a Registry Just for Fiesta?

  • Honestly, the only reason I'm registered at Macy's is because of Fiesta and my china pattern. Other stores have better prices... and I'm just, in general, not a Macy's fan. I prefer Dillards (a lot of their "regular" prices are the same as Macy's sale prices-same for BB&B), but I think Macy's registry program is a little better organized and they have a lot of locations. Obviously, the BB&B one is bigger, but I think I've added enough pieces to the Macy's registry that guests will be able to find something within their price range.

To answer your question, I would switch a registry just for Fiesta because I love their dishes that much lol. If Kohl's has a lot of things that you want that you cannot get anywhere else, go with them. If you can find it at Macy's, I'd choose them because of their registry program has a good reputation, and guests still have the option of going to BB&B.

I agree regarding the Macy's v Dillards v BB&B pricing. BB&B does have Fiesta, but their selection is extremely limited in comparison to Kohl's. I ended up splitting my registry between: <div>
</div><div>BB&B (china, flatware, stemware, linens, bakeware, some kitchen gadgets)</div><div>Target (bathroom, kitchen linens, small appliances)</div><div>Kohl's (FIESTA!, casual dining, cookware, bedroom linens, towels, vacuum)</div><div>
</div><div>I was ready to totally delete Target, but I really didn't like any of the bathroom items at Kohl's and thought it was stupid to register for stuff I didn't 100% want. So it's split up. People can go wherever they want. I finally made sure there aren't any duplicates <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" /></div>

I was actually going to ask if you had enough items to do 3 registries but I deleted that part haha. I think that's a good solution. Hopefully, you won't have any problems with Kohls and Target. I'm not sure why they'd still have a registry program if they're really that terrible.

Well since this will be the first apartment for both of us, we need everything, so we do have enough for 10 registries! <div>
</div><div>The problems with Kohl's and Target registries are not enough to make me not want to register. Yes, it's annoying when I can't access the registry to delete/add something on one day, but it's not that big of a deal to me. If for some strange reason a guest can't see one, they can just look at the other 2! I don't really know why ladies make such a big deal out of it.</div>
