By the time my fiance and I get married, we'll already have a newer home with everything we need. There's a girl in my class who was just married over the summer and she is in the same situation I am. She did a "honeymoon registry" where guests go to a website she had set up and can donate money to their honeymoon. On the website, she explained why they had bypassed the traditional registry and were doing something a little different instead.
I thought this was a great idea but when I started asking around to get opinions, some people thought it was tacky and kind of rude. I can see that some older generations like to have the option of a registry and that it is kind of weird to see how much a person donates to your honeymoon.
I just wanted to see what the other opinions out there were! Thanks for any feedback you can offer!
