Registry at REI?

FI and I LOVE to camp, hike, general outdoors-y sort of things and found out REI has a registry. We are already registered at BBB and Target for regular household things so would registering for stuff at REI be over-kill? Honestly its stuff we couldn't/wouldn't buy for ourselves because they are rather pricey (but will last forever!)  but I would love to have some of it like a nice tent and sleeping bags. So yes? No? Maybe?? TIA

I've seen a lot of girls here register at REI--I think it's fine.

Yeah, I agree!  As long as you also have a traditional registry, I think it is fine.

I think it's a great idea.  I love to purchase fun things off couples registries so this would be perfect for someone like me.

Our REI registry was pretty popular.  So I'm biased, but I say go for it.

I agree, I see no problem with it. Honestly, I would buy from the REI registry over BBB or Target any day.
