i was looking into mortgage registries online, because my fiancé and I hAve been living together for about a year and a half now, we both had lots of stuff that we combined when we moved in together; it seems like we have too much stuff already. We are looking into buying a house after the wedding and wondered if it was worth it to get a mortgage registry. On one hand it seems like paying the 300$ to start one is counterproductive, but it Also seems like a more polite way to ask for money. And i think people might be more willing to give $ if they knew what it was going for? But I don't want to pay for one and then not have anyone give to it and waste $300. Does anyone have experience with this? Any advice? Do you think it's better to just create a small registry for things we could stand to upgrade and then hope for money? I mean I am sure a lot o our guests will know we are trying to save for a house anyway.
