Target Gift Registry

I registered in store at Target. How long does it take for the things you scanned in store to show up online? Some of the things (a bunch of the things actually) I scanned today are not on the online registry. I hate to think I have to go back and do it all again!!!!!!!

It should show up instantly. A lot of people have issues with stuff like this with Target. Most of this board don't recommend them for a registry b/c of that.

Target is known for being slow to update its registries. Most of my friends who registered there ended up getting multiples of the same item because of how long it took Target's system to update the registries after things had been purchased.

Hurry and close your Target registry and go somewhere else (I personally love BBB). Otherwise, you will be dealing with this kind of stuff until after your wedding.

It took about a day and a half for my items to show up. Target is a great registry because you can get cameras, furniture... really anything you want. I registered for 6 strands of Christmas lights and some Christmas balls to decorate our tree. I just put a few things on there... mostly in the $150-200 bracket. That way if we get multiples, it will be worth it to exchange it. Then I put most of the other items on the Bed Bath & Beyond and the Macy's registries.

I had a great experience with Target but I think I'm in the minority.  I usually took about three hours to show up for me (which is exactly how long they told me it would take).

Be warned about Target. If you don't have a gift reciept you can ONLY exchange two items per year that are less that $20.00!!! In some cases if your friends and family scanned the blue papers you can exchange but some store's you can't.

We registered for just a few things at Target (used BB&B for the bulk of our items).  I don't know exactly how it works if you actually went to the store to register, but we did our registry all online and everything shows up instantly.  I would think you could try to log on and see if you can get into the registry you created in the store, and then edit/add/delete it from home.

I think they told us it took take up to 24 hours or so to update.

I moved most of my stuff to BB&B.  I don't understand why Target's registries take so long to update!!!!!!!!  I was in BB&B for about an hour and a half, then went right home and EVERYTHING I had scanned was on there.  The funny thing about Target is, some of your gifts don't show up online, and you go to the store and look at it, more things are on there, but still some are missing, but you check out another scanner to give it a go, and stuff that you may have scanned 3 months ago, and since decided against and deleted shows up in the scanner!!!!!!!!!!!  WTF!!!???  I AM OVER TARGET.  I am over registering!  Ugh.  Has anyone else had the problems I've had?  I've been back to the store at least three times to try and get everything on there.  That's why I'm glad I moved to BB&B.
