My fiance and I are planning to move to California (from Maryland) a month or two after we get married next spring. We foresee a problem when it comes time to signing up for registries and receiving wedding gifts, because we want to pack/ship as little as possible when we make the move out west. Is there a way to register and have gifts delayed or shipped to a new address? Or, is there a tactful way to ask for money? Money would really be the easiest, transportable gift.
