FI and I are planning a destination wedding with immediate family only. Six months after we get back from our honeymoon (that's the earliest we could possibly do), we are planning a nice hometown reception for family and friends. When is it appropriate to register? We want to do a part-honeymoon registry, but will anyone even look at it? And would it be appropriate to accept gifts or a honeymoon gift (say, dinner in Napa where we'll be honeymooning) if we have not held a reception at that point?
