When one of my good friends got married, she didn't go the traditional route and register with a certain store. She didn't want her guests to feel restricted to only shopping at one place, which I thought was super thoughtful. Instead, she made a Google account for her wedding and used Google docs to make a list of items she needed for her new house, and guests could check off an item once they purchased it wherever they wished. She did go to Sears to make a list of some things she liked and posted a link/picture with a few items to give her guests a better idea. The info for the registry was posted on her website with the knot.
Just a suggestion for anyone not sure where to register!
