Walmart Registry

Has anyone opened a registry at Walmart? If so, how was it? We are planning on registering and BBB and C&B, but these stores aren't near my fiance's side of the family, so we were thinking about adding a third registry at Walmart. I think 3 seems a little accessive, but I love the dishes we picked out at C&B and the sheets we picked out at BBB...so I wanna keep those for sure! At Walmart we plan to register for mostly tools and stuff that my fiance couldn't find at the "girly stores"...Anyway, how's Walmart's registry??

  • We are registered at Walmart, Target and Kohls.  I like it, you can view online and everything.  A lot of the things don't show up online, like the small things (tiny kitchen gadgets or specific silverware).  But they show up in the store. You can manage it online too.
  • I've heard some AWFUL things about the return policy at Walmart.  I would personally re-think that decision.  If it's tools your FI wants, I'd consider Home Depot or Lowe's.

I have registries at BBB & Macy's, and everything is available for purchase and shipping online, so even if FI's family is around the world they can still buy you something from your registry.
  • Home Depot and Lowe's don't have registries anymore.  We registered at Sears cause FI wants tools.

  • Keep in mind that a lot of people refuse to shop at Walmart for many different reasons.

If FI wants to register for tools, I would look into registering at Sears. Their stuff is also much better quality.
  • Also, many people go online for things now.

  • Also, I forgot to add that we registered at Target, Crate & Barrel, and Bed Bath & Beyond and are able to manage any of those 3 registries online.

Really, I've never had a problem returning anything to Wal-Mart.  They will take back just about anything, with or without a receipt.
  • I'm also doing a Walmart registry since I live in a smallish town and some people just don't want to order online. I have a question though for those of you who have. Did you go to the store to pick out things or did you do it online? I assume the two interface meaning if I did the registry online people could print it out from the store also to purchase items?
