I'm just wanting to get some feedback from everyone here on whether or not you would like this as a bridal shower gift? My FSIL is getting married next year as well, has a beautiful dress, and I was thinking it might be a nice gift to get a wooden chest made up for her to keep her dress in and maybe some other keepsakes (like the garter). I'm thinking a glass top on the lid so you can see the bodice of the dress and maybe her married name carved in it or something. Probably would be quite large to fit her dress and maybe something that could fit at the end of a bed or tucked away in a closet. Is this something you would like to receive as a bride? Or would you prefer something more practical like a fancy knife set???
